Lorena gomes

Resident Artist

My name is Lorena, but most people in the tattoo scene know me as Fiori Lorett.

I was born and raised in Brazil, where I grew up surrounded by art. Both of my parents were artists and travelers, and my mother—who began tattooing when I was nine—had ahuge influence on me. Drawing and painting were a part of daily life for me and my brother, something we shared as a family instead of watching TV. Watching my mom tattoo for the first time sparked something profound in me—I knew right then that I wanted to dedicate myself to this craft. I started tattooing in 2002.

At nineteen, I left Brazil to pursue an apprenticeship in London. That decision marked the beginning of my journey and shaped me into the artist I am today. Tattooing every day gave me the foundation and tools to keep exploring, while traveling through Europe—living and working in Italy, Germany, and Spain—helped me form my own identity and voice as a tattoo artist. Along the way, I was fortunate to work alongside and learn from many inspiring artists, each of whom left an imprint on my path.

Those years abroad weren’t always easy—new languages, new cultures, and the challenges of being a South American woman traveling alone—but they strengthened me and kept me pushing forward. I spent over three years in Italy and about a decade in Spain, where I worked with renowned artists like Mao and Cathy and eventually opened my own studio, Forget Me Not Tattoo. Later, in Germany, I began focusing on Neo-Traditional, a style that has always fascinated me for its storytelling and artistic possibilities.

Over the years, I’ve continued to evolve my craft through painting, which has helped me refine my vision, color palette, composition, and flow. Painting is where many of my tattoo ideas are born—it bridges the way I approach skin as a canvas.

Today, I’m currently based at Five Points NYC, continuing to work with clients from around the world. My journey has also taken me to conventions across continents, collaborations with incredible artists, and seminars where I share my knowledge and love for this art form.

I’m passionate about creating tattoos that are more than just images on skin—they’re art pieces shaped by movement, flow, and personal meaning. If you’d like to see more of my work or get in touch, visit www.fiorilorett.com or my Instagram, at @fiori_lorett.
